With thousands of acres of public land, Northern Michigan offers some great hunting
opportunities. Small game, wild turkey, whitetail deer, elk and bear present a variety of
challenges to the sportsman. The elusive white-tail is probably the most sought after game
in Northern Michigan. Every November many people with buck fever travel to Northern Michigan
from the downstate counties and surrounding states. The locals start preparing as soon
as there are any hints that summer may soon be coming to an end. The regular firearm season
for deer runs from November 15-30, and bow season from October 1 - November 14 and December
1-January 1. There are also early and late seasons in certain areas. Now you can buy
